Metal Garages
A garage is a carport with the sides, ends and doors closed in, built on the same frame. Because we manufacture it here in Nancy, Kentucky, you are paying for steel and labor and not for a dealer's cut.
How a garage is priced
Start with the frame size and roof style, then add what you need: side sheeting, end walls, gables, roll-up doors, walk doors, windows. Every one of those is a separate line on the price sheet, so you can see exactly what each choice costs before you commit.
The pricer on this site does that math for you and shows a drawing of the building as you change it.
Doors
- Roll-up garage doors in common widths — this is what most people put on the gable end for vehicles.
- Walk-in doors, 36 inches, so you are not raising the big door every time you need a wrench.
- Windows for light, usually two on a side wall.
- Leave an end open if you want a drive-through, or half-close a side for a covered work area.
Common sizes
- 20x20 — one vehicle plus storage; the smallest that feels like a real garage.
- 24x30 — two vehicles with walking room around them. The most popular size we build.
- 30x40 — shop territory: two vehicles, a lift bay or a workbench wall, and room to move.
- 30x50 and up — equipment, a business, or a serious shop.
Premier vs. Kentucky Farm Style
Premier is the line to buy for anything you are closing in and keeping. 20-year roofing, welded snow trusses, 12 colors, certified.
Kentucky Farm Style is galvanized, light duty, and not certified. It is priced for a shelter on the back of a farm, not for a garage beside your house.
Concrete
A garage wants a concrete pad. Call the office at 606-871-7303 and get the pad dimensions before you pour — the frame anchors to the concrete, and the pad has to be the right size within an inch.
If you would rather set it on a level gravel site and pour later, that can be done, but tell us up front so the crew brings the right anchors.
Delivered and installed within 180 miles of Nancy, Kentucky
Our own crew delivers and sets the building — we do not hand you off to a contractor. Anywhere inside the 180-mile circle is covered, which reaches Lexington, Louisville, Bowling Green, Knoxville and Nashville. Outside it? Call us, we can often work it out.
Questions we get asked
- Can you build on my existing slab?
- Usually yes, if it is square, level, and the right size. Send us the measurements and we will tell you before we load the truck.
- How tall can the walls be?
- Leg heights run 6 to 13 feet. Anything over about 10 feet is typically for RVs, lifts, or equipment.
- Is insulation available?
- Not as part of the building. Most customers add it after, or line the inside themselves.
- Do you take trade or financing?
- Rent-to-own is available — a small down payment and monthly payments. Call the office and we will fill the form out with you.
